Program Leadership

Kintsugi Somatic Art Founder, Director (2021- present) – multi-disciplinary art experiences – workshops, performances, events for community well-being.

Lelavision Co-Founder, Co-Artistic Director (1996- 2024) – performances and productions combining kinetic musical sculpture, live music, dance,  humor, and science. Administration, fundraising, public relations, project  management, staff and volunteer management, documentation, and assessment.

Integrated Music Program Founder, Executive Director (2003-2009) – arts in medicine program working in collaboration with Harborview & UW Medical Centers, Vashon Community Care (Seattle/Vashon, WA) ]. Administration, scheduling, staff management and trainings, accounting, health and safety protocols, documentation, and assessment.

Moving in the Spirit Artistic Director & Co-Founder (1987-95) Artistic Director Emeritus (present) – award winning youth program utilizing dance to develop life skills (Atlanta, GA). Program direction, strategic planning, board collaboration, curriculum, site management, fundraising, documentation, event production.

Educational Leadership

Vashon Artists In Schools, Creative Advantage and Jack Straw Art Education Roster Member (2020-present) – Artist residencies  in K-12 public schools on Vashon and in Seattle, currently focusing on neuro-diverse, medically fragile, blind, deaf/blind youth. Movement and experiential learning for curricular reinforcement, STEAM, and somatics.

Collegiate World AIDS Day Atlanta – Morehouse, Spelman, Clarke Atlanta, Emory, GA Tech, and GA State, 30 artists. 5000 attendees

Human Murmuration – Duwamish Waterway Park, Parliament of World Religions (Toronto), Hello Goodbye Viaduct, 26 performers

Created Commons @ Westcrest Park – 10 days, 130 performers, presenters 

Indicator Species –  Mukai Farm & Garden, Vashon, 70 performers, 3 days 

Vashon Haiku Festival – 111 submissions from around the world with month long display of winners

Mukai Studio Ghibli Festival – Karaoke, 5 free family friendly movies, 1400 viewers

Vashon Japan Festival –  35 presenters/performers, 1800 attendees          

Taiko  (2022 – present) Studying with Wendy Hamai of Issho Taiko and Seattle Kokon Taiko
